The mission of the Center for Teaching and Learning is to foster a safe, creative and collaborative environment that supports student success by promoting teaching excellence and professional growth for all faculty.

 

Goals:

New Learning Management System Canvas in 3D: Forget going to IMAX or wearing those cool 3D glasses, we are bringing eLearning to life in 3D with the help of our new Learning Management System Canvas!  Attend this workshop series consisting of 4 modules delivered in a hybrid format.  Learn everything from how to engage your students in course content to how to develop effective assessments and use Canvas feedback tools to facilitate learning.  This truly is the A-Z of eLearning using fantastic new tools in Canvas.

Canvas Basics: From stick figures to coloring inside the lines, we all must start somewhere on our journey to become an artist. Bag those artistry pipe dreams and instead use an easier medium – Canvas (our new Learning Management System)! Begin your journey to eLearning infamy by learning the basics. Participants in this workshop will get to know their way around Canvas, upload a syllabus, work with the calendar tool, create announcements, build course content and import tests from Blackboard. Who Should Attend? This workshop is for EVERYONE who uses the college Learning Management System. If you currently use Blackboard, or if you want to start delivering some content in an online format, please attend!
